About This Image

I went to the Zoo last month and got this. These are wood storks, native to Florida, and given a roosting site at the Jax Zoo. They're basically wild I think, cuz they fly all around the zoo and there isn't any netting.

they are indeed! There seems to be about 100-150 or somethin' at the nearby zoo. I dunno, they pop up in a lot of places far away from their nesting sites. They're an endangered species.

They are neat birds aren't they? I spotted about 50 the other day in South Carolina.
