About This Image

Unseasonably warm today with muted light . . . perfect for photography. These conditions with my 1.2f 50mm lens inspired me to take some shots around the yard. I like the texture of the bark and variations in color.

Funny you should mention that bolt. It was originally screwed into the tree to support a jungle hammock. Think my daughter has long since outgrown it. Also, might have something to do with the fact that it collapsed on night.

Great photo of your firewood.. The light on the bark is nice showing the colors. I took a close shot of the end of a log showing the year rings and it has sold many times over at ShutterStock. This is the link to the photo http://www.shutterstock.com/pic.mhtml?id=192521 It looks like the log on the right is really heavy with you needing a eye-bolt to pick it up LOL...
