The starkness is so compelling. A few leaves hold on to the branches for only the next big blast of bitter wind to take them.

Thanks, I was actually trying to take a pic of a swan on our lake, turned to see the sun set and this looked like a perfect shot!

pleasing capture. I like the feeling of movement in this one, and the 2 leaves on the tree branches.
