Nana - Waihi Falls are near Dannevirke. It is a pretty steep walk down to the falls, but the 2 people I went with have great problems with mobility etc and they managed it, and were so glad they did. You can see the falls from the top by the picnic area but they are not quite so magnificent as further down. Any time you are down this way my husband and I would be only to happy to take you out for a drive to see them.

What a great shot. Are the falls near Waihi (Coromandel) or are they elsewhere in NZ and are they easy to get to as I have knees that are had it and cannot go clambering as I once did. You can almost hear the thundering of the water in this photo and feel the spray on your face. Well captured

Lesley what a beautiful shot. That is alot of water. Yes I too recognise the Photographer, my Darling Daughter. She sent me a photo from Her angle. The Water looks like Wool from a sheep.

Sometimes a continuous loud noise can become a "white noise", therefore becoming soothing. Sounds strange, but its true. Sometimes hahahaha.

Lesley this shows just how big they are as the photographer is not a little girl lol. It was a beautiful day to go with loads of water and such a loud but tranquel noise ( I know loud and tranquel is an odd couple)

It was great to be able to get up so close to them. We were all getting quite wet from the spray.
