About This Image

A Giant canoe that the sailed from Rarotonga to Gisborne New Zealand, I think it was year 2000 when it sailed to Gisborne, i can't remember why it sailed.It got damaged on its way back to Rarotonga in the storms, thats why it looks the way it does in process of fixing it.

Thank -you Jas an Lorraine for kind comments,Yes i got round the whole island quite a few times it is only 33ks right around the island so did take us long to drive round it at all.

Have not seen one of these before. I can imagine what it must have looked like when it was sailed on the ocean. Good job that it's being restored.
