neighbour's cat checking out the birds on our patio, hiding in the plants in the border. Noticed the cat while waiting to get some pics of the birds from the open window, - the hummer spotted the cat too, and hovered just above it, so I shoo-ed the cat away. Strange part about it, is that the hummer had just flown up near me, at the window and hovered there, then flew over and hovered above the cat, - almost as if to show me the cat was there!

thanks Anne. That cat is a nuisance, as we have been feeding a poor stray cat for a long time, but this neighbour's cat was coming in the garage and eating the food we put out for the stray, PLUS fighting with the stray. So he hasn't been around here for sometime. We have quit putting food out now, til the colder weather comes again and maybe the stray will show up again.
