As the carriage drops down into position the pilots would be getting ready for touch-down a few miles ahead,bringing a few hundred people to our island nation or returning them to kiwi land.

Good old Air New Zealand. I've been on a few of these planes. Great shot. You can see the logo quite clearly. You must have been pretty close to the airport. Hope you had your earmuffs on :-)

Very nice shot Vincent and an interesting little story behind it and the excitement the passengers are feeling as the plane is approaching a landing.
