About This Image

Tui (TOO-EE)
This native bird of New Zealand has a beautiful song,it is a large bird with a wattle on it's neck and camouflages well in the native bush.
The Kowhai flower is one of it's favourite trees to feed on and has a yellow flower, they also love a pink flower(the name slips my mind)that gets them drunk in spring.

Pleasure share this info Don,it works both way I enjoy photos you guys have on lensflare on birds and nature not seen down here in little old New Zealand, things like eagles, raccoons, hummers, bears, even common birds for you guys are different for us,(have to admit I have a weakness for the feathered friends)cheers, thank you Carol the Tui congregates around these pink colored flowers like a popular pub, lol,Carol they don't seem to sing at this time to busy enjoying the nectar I think, thank you for you interest and compliments, regards Vince
