About This Image

Beach shot of Shanklin and Sandown bay, on the Isle of Wight, England.
In the foreground there is a wooden structure, locally known as a 'groin', which helps to break the waves as they come in to shore, making them less ferocious.
Culver Cliff is in the background and is very popular for walkers and tourists, because of the panoramic views from the top.
