Thank you all for your kind coments. I am housebound at the moment. Cabin fever set in so my husband Dean took me for a drive up the mountain. We got half way up and the road was closed because of the snow and ice. Very early for this time of year.

This reminds me of hiking up Rangitoto Island when I was a teenager. Though Rangitoto doesn't have snow. For all those that don't know, Rangitoto is a volcanoe just off the shore of our biggest city - Auckland. It was fun and I'd love to do it again. I love the cloud in this photo. It shows the height really well. Yes, spring is early and lots of snow has melted this year. Its still pretty though.
