About This Image

I had fun chasing these little butterflies around the yellow flowers. I was doing this in Barstow, California waiting for everyone to come out of a restaurant. My butterfly may not be as big and beautiful as everyones, but it is the smallest and the ugliest LOL..

Hi Alex, Don, and Brian.. Thanks very much for your kind thoughts about my photo. Brian I looked and looked and can't find the grasshopper :) Hey Don and Alex, sorry about the really slow reply, 2006 must have been a busy year for me, it's all a blur like my photos..

I really like the deep yellow / light orange colors in this photograph. The bokeh is nice. Looks like there's a little grasshopper hiding from the butterfly.

Hi Alandra and Carol. Thanks again for your gracious thoughts on my little butterfly :) Those little guys were everywhere but they were always moving. I gave up chasing them and just stayed on that flower and when one landed on it I got em. Thanks Alandra for the flowers name, I never did get into learning flower, butterfly, and birds names so I'm usually lost as to what to call them. Like this butterfly?

lol, Alan, good one. Those are the flowers that the hummingbirds love too. Can't think of the name of them right now, duh.
