About This Image

My grandma, Tilly. A very old photo I found at my mums house. I dont know how to get rid of the marks, but its a very precious photo to me as she died many years before I was born.

Maybe there is some other ancestry showing through in her dark features. I'd look into it - you might find out something very interesting.

I had thought of that Lulu. But I think that could cost a lot. Worth it though. I think she looks like she has maori blood in her, but was born in England, so thats not very likely.

Hi Lesley. I would take this into a photo shop and see if they can scan it and fix it up for you. We have some old photos like this and my daughter just did a family tree scrapbook with scans of the originals. It sure is something to treasure.

I am so pleased to find this photo. My mother is 94 so this photo of HER mother was taken about 1890 maybe.
