A wonderful picture! The sturdy bricks holding it safe. The greenness of the grass, the flowers surrounding it, at the base. And after the stairs - the greenery, so close, and what looks like a child's face is there also, right at the bottom. A mystical place! It seems I see a bird in the tree, but it might be an empty space. One can feel the power still in this Abbey.

What a well taken photo which peaks one's interest. I would wonder if this might be a part of a church? Or perhaps just creative home builder of old. :-)

same here, it's very beautiful. Am surprised it hasn't had comments. this is the first time I've seen this photo. love the texture of the stonework and the contrasting greenery
