About This Image

A shot taken from an airplane as it flys into Chicago O'Hare airport. I have never taken a photo from a plane before, but I found the process rather exciting, though challenging. I don't know if a digital camera counts as a portable electronic device that we are told to turn off upon landing, but the plane did not crash, and no one complained.

The quality of the shot is determined in good part by the cleanliness of the window.

very good Alex, unique and interesting shot. From the thumbnail, couldn't figure out what it was. how similar all the houses look at first glance and how close together they seem to be!

I believe we were coming in from the East South East. We were probably aabout three miles from the airport when I took this.

Triple excellent shot. Were you coming in from the south, north, east or west. Maybe I could figure where in Illinois you were.
