Karen, sorry I forgot to reply about the tartan. Scottish, am pretty sure, at least on the Bride's side, which was the MacKenzie tartan (a green tartan). The mens' shoes do look like dance slippers, I agree. Had never realized the lace tied up around the ankles before, either. I really enjoyed seeing the colourful kilts and other items of the outfits. Even the little page boy was wearing the smallest kilt and jacket etc that I'd ever seen

many thanks Karen and Anne, appreciate your nice comments very much, and am happy you like the image. I did think it was very colourful, the reds showed up so nicely. It was a bit tricky to "catch" everyone, as people were moving about so much outside, after the ceremony, so I was just snapping images and hoping for the best. It's the first time I've taken any wedding pics with this equipment.

Beautifully captured "local color". Is that Scottish or Irish? The men's shoes look almost like dancing wear. Love the composition, Alandra.

What a wonderful photograph. I love the reds that pop and draw attention to the lady's leather skirt with the chiffon ruffle. Female and male symbols in the photograph and captured so nicely.

thanks very much, Lorraine, for the nice comments. It's a crop of a full image, but I don't have permission to put the full image on here yet, so just cropped out the interesting shoes etc : ) - for something a bit different.
