It is the beautiful sleek horst that captures my eye and makes the picture outstanding. The mesa with its clumps of grass and even the background with its outstanding mesa or what in one's imagination could become an old time mansion is not as beautiful and outstanding as the horse. Thanks. Anne

Excellent, and well deserved, winning shot! All that's missing is John Wayne :0) I agree that the black and white does add that 'old west' feel to the shot. I really love this part of the world and would love to visit here again.

Beautiful composition! I can imagine an indian looking out over this scene over 150 years ago.
