About This Image

A Snowy Egret chases another off. I observed these two egrets as they fished together for about 1/2 hour. Every 5 minutes or so, the one would chase the other away (probably because it was too close to the same fishing spot, or perhaps just to remind the other who was boss.)

A distinguishing charateristic of a Snowy Egret (as opposed to a common or white egret) are the yellow feet.

beautiful birds, wish we had some here mingled with the Great Blue herons, as have never seen these egrets. Great capture too. I like the yellow feet on the black legs too : )
