About This Image

This is part of a tea set that my Mom left to me. It
is post war Japanese Nippon china. The style is make for western buyers. It is delicate, colorful, and hand painted. There is an orange, Japanese, obi in the capture. It is a shash for a female dress.

Thank you Carol, Talsi and Alan for viewing and leaving comments. My Mother used all her china when she had her afternoon social group over. It was always exciting to me to watch from the stair case. In those days the ladies dressed in proper attire. I am a coffee drinker and have my special mug to enjoy the flavor and sit in my jeans and layered sweaters at this time of the year. When I bring out some of the bone china, I recall the days when ladies dressed for the afternoon. It brings back nice memories.
