About This Image

The beloved Lilac - one of the mainstays of the British shrub border. This type will brighten up anyones garden in May and early June they are nearly always varieties of S.vulgaris, the Commom Lilac. The flowering season is short, about three weeks, but the fragrance and size of the blooms compensate for it.
This one is called 'Madame Lemoline'

Enjoy:)
