About This Image

These swans came swimming toward us at the lagoon in City Park in New Orleans. One teenager did not know what the animals were. She guessed they were ducks or geese.

these are so beautiful. Was the other parent there also, along with this one and the cygnets? Swans always bring back happy childhood memories, of walks along the river near Grandma's home (maternal g/ma), - with either my young aunt or my grandmother and their dog, when I lived with them for long periods at a time. When the babies are very young, they ride on the backs of the parent swan.

Thanks!! I know it is a gaggle of geese and a flock of birds but is there a particular name for a group of swans?
