Out in the paddock brushing Zak and notice about 8 of the little birds just sidding on an old clothes line watching us, the frame just mucking about in programs seeing what was there.

I really don't know if they pick up any thing else other than mud for there nests, alot of the other birds around here do, the sparrows they fight over bits of fur, Iv'e never seen a swallows nest up close, do they line them? thanks for looking in.

great capture of the barn swallow, Lorraine. This is one bird that you get, that we see here also. Maybe the only one :) They might have been thinking of picking up the fur you brushed out of Zak to line their nests. Some birds do that, altho believe barn swallows make their nests out of mud etc

I got as close as I could to them, but the wind was blowing,I didn't want to take my eye of them, so had to shuffle through the long grass and hold the camera steady.
