About This Image

I tried to get this sunflower to turn around and smile for a photo, but no luck. So I got this back side shot instead. Comments and critiques on my photos are always welcome..

Hi Ikka, Thanks for your thoughts about my photo. I enjoy how photos come out shooting into the sun. I'm glad you liked my shot :)

Oh, its funny, I have seen this shot just yet and I think, like the same kind as I did this year. It's great, and very usual capture. Your are looking together with the sunflower to the sun!

Hi A Lovely, Thanks so much for your very nice comment and thoughts about this shot. I really appreciate it.. That Don is just to nice to throw any bricks ROFL..

LOL I just read Don's critique. Serious now..... We all see beauty in different ways. I believe that all though there are rules when taking photos, I think this "Lady" stands on it's own. This is sunflower is beautifully photographed.

ROFL :) Good one Don, That was a nice little brick.. I think the fly was on the other side in this shot. Hey Golda I don't think I've heard about the 3s, 5s, 7s thing. It does make sense that odd numbers of things would look better.

OK,Ok,you know what "they"say about grouping things in "3s","5s","7s"and "9s".This flower although beautifully lit,is in fact a little lonely.

Alan, it is a very pretty capture. But I will throw a brick on request. Even though it isn't easy for me. Here goes: It sure would have been nice to see a fly on one of the pedals :-), dang. Don

Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the great comments. I have always liked photos where the sun back lights things up. Hey Golda, yea I'm sorta a devil for punishment, but it's great for learning. I did not think this was a perfect shot, I thought this photo was cropped a little too much, with it needing some extra space all around it and even more space on the left side, with that moving the flower from dead center. I'm really secretly trying to get everyone to add a little more to there comments by pointing out things that are distracting or what ever along with the good things.

Lovely color. I like the light through the translucent petals.

Its a nice shot, but I'm not really that fond of that type of backside.lolYou gotta get a whole lot worse than that to start your rock collection.

You need to post an image that is bad,in order to get the bricks hurled at you.Or maybe you are just a "devil for punishment"!LOL
