Sun Through Trees

You know what Alandra, I can't for the life of me figure out what this tree is. On driving down our road, the only trees I have noticed are Blue Gum (which our property is full of) and Pine, both of which still have foliage on them. This tree, however, does not. There are some long skinny trees that are usually found near the rivers (which I think this area used to be) also down the road but this tree is just too bushy (if you know what I mean) to be one of those. I will have to take another walk and try and figure out what it is. I do suspect that it is a gum tree but different from the ones we have. Will let you know. Oh, and thanks for the lovely positive comment - in fact all of them. I think you are the number one visitor to my gallery :-)

I love tree silhouettes, always have, and this is no exception. What type of tree is this?

Thanks again Tania for your comment. This is another shot taken directly into the sun but I used the trees branches to block out some of it so it wasn't so harsh. I was quite pleased with the silhouette but it helps that the tree has an interesting shape. Oh, and it was a huge tree!

Thanks for your comment. We are starting to get some leaf buds on some trees so it won't be long and they will look quite different.

This is a great example how winter trees can be lovely subjects.

Yes Mel, this was taken in the middle of the day when the sun was shining through the trees. It was a very overcast day as you can see in the cattle and sheep pics that I also took on the same day.

I like this siloute tree. Is that the sun shining through?
