About This Image

We had a nice monsoon storm pass through in the afternoon, then after the sun had gone down the lightning show continued. This is a view of my neighbors homes with the lightning off in the distance.

Wonderful capture - I don't see lightning bolts here - the mountains hide it

Hi Julie, Thanks very much for your nice comment. Shooting lightning is really not that hard. The hard part is hoping your camera is pointing in the right direction. I used a 30 second exposure for this one and lucked out with the lightning going off in that time. I'm glad you enjoyed my photo :-) ~Alan~

What a great lightening capture, Alan. Those clouds sure are dark. Are you outside or in an open window for this shot?
