thankyou Kathy, for the nice comments. A lot of people call this type "Blue Jay", - infact we did too before learning the real name, - we did get the type you mention, when we lived in other regions of BC, but those don't seem to appear where we are now. They are very cheeky birds and greedy too : )

Great series of bird photos Alandra. This is one bird I've never seen. Here we have the standard Blue Jays of blue and white.

again, thankyou Mary, Alex and Carol, glad you like it. too bad he hadn't been facing the opposite way, - in the large version his head and eye show up better tho, he's quite cheeky looking : ) and he was hollering outside my bedroom window this morning, wanting more peanuts.
