About This Image

another shot of the Stellars Jay (some call these "blue jays" due to their colour). Peanuts in beak. And just realized, think his throat is full of peanuts also, as it looks "swollen". Plus you can see one peanut further back in his beak. Now I understand why they hide in our patio shrubs, eating for such a long time : ) Taken from inside house, thru open front window. It was getting pretty breezy & chilly : )

They are a lovely colour, Mel, thanks very much, appreciate your comments. It's our first day of Spring here today, and I got lots of pics from the front window, infact, the first hummingbird showed up today too, so that made our day.

Hi Tam, good to see you here, thanks. Kinda hard on the old elbows tho', resting on that "ridge" where the window slides : ) but I covered it with something temporarily : )

thankyou Mary. I was propping my elbows on the windowsill to steady the camera.

I can't get over where you took this from! My zoom and shaky hands would have got me a very blurred picture to mess with! Amazing to have caught him with that in his beak and see the edges!
