About This Image

This wonderful washing machine was another of the items on show in Susie's General Store, Everglades City, FL.
It reminds me of one that my Mother used to use, many years ago.
I thought it was really great that someone had collected all these historical machines etc. and preserved them for others to see.

Thanks, Beverley, Lorraine and Anne for all the comments. I had a similar experience to you Anne; my Mum had a machine with an electric ringer and I remember getting my finger caught in that more than once!! I think I'll stick to my auto washer too Lorraine :)

Oh yes, those were the days. Back in the day, I used a Maytag that was one shot up from this washer. lol I got my hand caught in the ringer! Ouch! Fun capture to view.

I think I'll stay with my auto washer, but that must have being state of the art at some time.
