About This Image

The large reb brick building is known as the Star and Garter home, and it was set up to look after wounded veterans. It still houses servicemen and women from more recent conflicts - as a species we don't learn very well!

The building is viewed here from a cruiser on the river.

steve a lovely building dedicated to those who have hepled to secure our future as rightly said we do not learn .. no history lesson here i am just ashamed that they have to rely on charity to survive!
