have only just seen this one, Steve. Agreeing with all the other comments, it's lovely. Had never heard of the Orton effect.

Many thanks to Priscilla, Lorraine, Marsha and Alan for your thoughts on this version. Alan, I know what you mean, and I left a comment on my other Orton image about the technique suiting that image better than this one. On the other hand, the compression needed for TLF really doesn't help, and in the full size image you can see both the crisp focus and the dreamy blurring. I think if you saw that you might like it a bit better.

Well Steve, I must be the oddball of the bunch. I really like the original photo. This Orton view is nice but it just gives me the feeling the photo is out of focus or taken through a window. I guess my brain likes a clear photo better.

I like both versions of this photo. It is a great photo without any effects, but I do like the soft image of this version.

I love the softness that this image has. I will have to look into this "Orton Effect". This is a lovely image.
