I agree with Lorraine, the wooded background is a wonderful way to present the soft texture of the flowers. Makes them look oh so soft and delicate. Nicely seen and captured

A hundred years ago (well, not really) my father brought me home a start of Spring Beauties, and I planted them under a lilac where my sandbox used to be. They came back every year. I wonder if they still do, of if they have been destroyed. I go back in October to stay across the street with my cousin. I'm going to check.
