well, many thanks, Steve, that's very nice praise, much appreciated. Didn't stop to think about the distance etc, so guess I can't expect to get too much more, from that distance away :) I don't know anything about the ins and outs of all the settings etc. A photo course was the only class I ever dropped out of, LOL, years ago, couldn't seem to grasp it :)

A wonderful shot of the owl in flight. Looks pretty crisp to me, but I'm viewing it on my Blackberry so probably can't really judge! But handheld with the equivalent of up to 600mm on your lens + teleconverter and capturing a moving subject, I think this is remarkably good!
