About This Image

A shot of my snow plowing contraption from the drivers seat.As you see,it has no windshield wipers so the visibility isn't too great .
This contraption is a 1975 Scout 4x4 with a 1932 ford p/u body on it. It does need a bit of cosmetic work but it runs good for a yard truck.LOL

Great shot of your 'snow plow'...now we know what goes on behind those beautiful wintry scenes that we see.

Thanks for the great comments Alfresco and Lorraine,I remember seeing those "Doodlebugs" around this area as I was growing up and even owned one myself. They seem to have all gone into hiding now though.LOL

Very interesting, we see the lovely snow images and tend to forget about the times you have to clear the snow, looks very useful, and so long as it does the job thats all that matters.

Sounds like what we called a "doodlebug" in the rural Western NY area I grew up in in the 1940's and 50's. A utility vehicle cobbled out of junkyard parts, and used mostly for plowing snow and dragging things, like logs and junk cars. I remember one with two transmissions coupled together, put them both in reverse and the thing would pull a house down. Nice shot, thanks for triggering some nostalgia!
