Taken at Waiwakaiho in New Plymouth, looking out to sea toward the port of Taranaki.
The smoke in the skies was coming from Australia who at the time were having some pretty horrific forest fires

TY I must admit the area that I took this photo is fast becoming a favorite place, there are so many options. A river and bridge, lakes, a view to the mountain, the sea then in the distance the Power station chimney and the rocks around paritutu.

Gorgeous color image. Smoke does make for colorful sunsets. I like the lines along the beach.
