Thanks for commenting, KM. I don't know what animal, but it was large. And I didn't place it on the leaves, this was taken at the NC Zoo.

I see the jawbone of an ungulate (cow or deer) but I can't figure out the other piece. It doesn't look like a skull. I used to collect animal skulls as a science teacher and found them fascinating. I like how you placed it among the leaves.

I like this morbid shot, Beverly! The little glimpse of the living green leaves at the top of the frame adds an ironic contrast to the dead skull.
