About This Image

people enjoying the views at Prospect Point, Stanley Park, with Lions Gate Bridge right there, spanning Burrard Inlet, with the North Shore Mountains in background.
this is where the raccoon crossed directly infront of us, across this pathway : ) not taking the slightest notice of us

you can see people further down at the lower lookout point also.
taken around 9:30 pm that evening

yes, Lulu, - well, when you first catch glimpse of the bridge, you sortof "gasp", with the shock of how very close it is, and it's grandeur/imposing-ness : ) In reality, it seems even closer than the photo shows. It's as if it's "right there", to your right. I love what you wrote about "knowing Canada would be beautiful under all that snow". very sweet thought. and I do hope you get to enjoy it here someday soon.

Wow! What a bridge. Gee I wish it was that light outside at 9.30pm. It still gets dark here at about 6pm. I can see how you describe this bridge as breathtaking. I may have to visit one day and see it for real. And the scenery is wonderful also. I knew Canada would be beautiful under all that snow.

thanks Carol. Somehow, when you are there, the bridge seems even closer. When you first glimpse the bridge, so close, you almost gasp, it's so imposing/breathtaking : )
