A colorful Shield Bug or Beetle front view.. For the Technically curious most of the closeup images have been done on the Canon 400D with a Sigma 17--70 mm lens set to macro or sometimes with the more bulky Canon 75-300mm

what a great close up i have a 70-300mm tamron lens with macro but have to be 4' away but have a 25-55 canon with out macro will this do the job just as well ?
