Vicki, yes. Too bad you missed it this year. It's been the best ever as far as I can remember. Maybe next year will be better? I hope so. By the way, all of our reservoirs have gone from almost empty to full! A happy year!

Thank you. We see many more of these this year than we ever have before. We had so much rain (badly needed) during the winter and early spring. For awhile, the entire desert looked like a green carpet. Now it has gone back to its normal tan color, but the cactus blossoms are bursting out all over.

I had not seen one of these cacti in bloom. It amazes me how delicate the flowers are on such a thorny plant. Very pretty shot.
