About This Image

This, of course, was a 35mm black and white shot. I put my Minolta on a tripod, set it up under our lemon tree, put on my hat and pushed the cable release. I think I look sort of moody here, which I usually am not.
BTW: I still have the hat. I'll have to drag it out and give it a try again. We used to sell this type of hat in our leather shop.

Gary, great SP! Very nicely done. I'm kind of glad you didn't submit this to the SP contest a while back. My goofey shot would not have stood a chance :-). A keeper photo for sure. Don

Thanks all. Maybe you have it right, Alandra. Reflective/thoughtful. Funny, this was taken 20 years ago, and t I still remember taking it, clearly. I still have the hat, we still have the lemon tree. All that's changed is that the geezer has gotten older.

wonderful self portrait, Gary. To me, it doesn't appear as "moody", it appears contemplative/thoughtful. Very handsome in any event. Love the hat also.

I think it's a shot with a "mood" but you don't look moody. Lots of character in the face....very nice self portrait.
