You're right about all the activity in that piece of driftwood, Mary. Just FINDING a piece along that stretch is pretty amazing. Saugatuck is a wonderful artists' colony and many of her residents are big-time beach-combers!

I like the contrast between the wet and very dry. I can see all sorts of things in that piece of wood.
