thanks Carol, it was a hot day, but perfect really. The big annual fireworks event began yesterday, "Festival of Light" or something like that, it begins around 11 pm at English Bay, so we didn't hang around for that. But from where we live, when we got home, I could hear the LOUD thumps and bangs of the fireworks when I walked the little dog : ) It was Italy's display of fireworks last night.
