Thanks for comments. I live in Alameda, California near Oakland (SF Bay area), I travel out to the Livermore area, about an hour due east at least once a week. This town is an outer Bay area suburb, but it still has some beautiful country surrounding it. When I get an afternoon to myself, and the weather is cooperative, I try and take a photo excursion to the area and get some shots. Most of my rural scenes: the red barn, the wind turbines, cow shots, etc. all come from this area. This region has been threatned by development and may last only a few years more. Photographing this area is my way of holding on to the rural beauty while I can.
