About This Image

To get to Fort Irwin that is 30 miles from Barstow, California, you travel down this road with nothing to look at but the clouds and power polls lol. Not a tree in sight... To play with there tanks they need to be way out in the middle of nowhere. I had the wife steer the car while I shot this at 60mph.

I was stationed at "The Planet" a.k.a. Ft.Irwin from Dec84 to Jul88. Rolled at over 100 mph in many G.M. and MoPars now deamed collector items now to eather make formation or to get away after a gruling rotation. Loved seeing the "Edelbrock" black tarantulas crossing this road at dusk and seeing falling stars on a regular basis.

Hi Lorraine, Cindy, Jas, and Mary.. Thank You all very much for checking out my photo and leaving your comments. I added a little more to my description. It does seem like your going to nowhere, and to add to the lost feeling you can tell there are not many cars on that road. Just me for miles..

Take me home...country road. You captured beautiful wide open spaces with lots of sky Alan. Very nice.

Looks quite desolate, and yes, I'm sure we went along one very similar.

I love your capture of the road leading to infinity. It sure looks the place of wide open space.
