What beautiful rhododendron petals. Each bloom reminds me somewhat of an orchid. The colors are striking against the dark background in such a pleasing manner. Nicely captured.

Thank you Chriss, Gunnar and Lorraine for all your nice comments. I think this may be called 'Chevalier Felix de Sauvage'...I'm not absolutely sure, as the bush was already in the garden (with no tag), when we moved to the house. Another, very similar, is 'Mrs GW Leak'. Thanks for looking :)

A beautiful capture, lovely ruffled edges to thie pettals and the darker colour in the centre, I also would like to know the name of this one.
