About This Image

It snowed in Texas!!! We bundled up (since the temperature was about 28 degrees and the wind was blowing) and headed for the woods. Chased this young man up and down the dirt road until I caught him!

Really I think May from Bayou says it all!!! WOW!! Still Spirit urges me to add: we have the contrast of course - but this picture has even more - the emotional appeal that we may not even be aware of. The pure white snow - a red heart, its beat sending blood through us keeping us alive!! And the purity of the new fallen snow. So many meanings here. The pure white Limbs become a resting place for the red bird, the Heart of the picture.

I really like the contrasts and depths portrayed here. It would be a wonderful card (yeah - even for a male card-inal!!!).

This would make a great Xmas or Holiday Greeting Card! (A bit too late for 2004, though).

What a lovely picture. The Red Cardinal is a great name for this guardian of the snow regions.

Gorgeous! When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought the color was too vibrant to be real. But I'm sure glad it is real! Absolutely beautiful!

had to come back to have another look, wanted to say that have been thinking of this lovely photo since seeing it yesterday! Utterly gorgeous. Such peace, with all the sorrow in the world, this photo seems so meaningful.

this is beautiful, the bird I mean, contrasting against the whiteness of the snow. Don't envy you the snow, lived too long in northern BC to ever want to see it again : ) But we don't see cardinals here, so would love to see one.
