Mama raccoon in our back yard. Looks like she is "saying Grace". Another trick : ) Their front paws are so cute, like black rubber on the pawpads.
You can see how flat their undersides are here, - they press their fronts against the tree trunks when descending, to help stop from falling. Interesting to watch.

thanks Brian, she is cute. Am a bit fearful for her safety, due to her being less timid than most. We've had orphan babies here years ago, and I had to go out around 3 am to feed them, as they couldn't fend without their mother, --as that was the only time they could come down from the trees without being frightened or hurt by older raccoons.
