About This Image

I was lucky enough to get this shot of lightning striking near a local power plant at night. It has been auto enhanced in my arcsoft program. Other than that, the photo is whole. Thanks for viewing, Don

I really like how the power plant enhances the shot, well done on creative thinking.

Great shot Don! This was on the site before I joined up, so I missed it and only found it by chance today! I love the natural light of the lightning against the man-made lights of the power station - a nice irony.

NIce job of keeping everything in good exposure.

An eyecatcher shot. I like the way the buildings are illuminated against the sky along with the lightning strike.

Thanks everyone, yes lissab I use a tripod and a remote to prevent shake for lightning shots. I had read an article about lightning shots and it said a good rule was to 'set at 8 and wait'. So I set the fstop at 8 and bulb on the shutter speed. open the shutter and wait. It seems to work good most of the time, this shot was limited to 10 secs to prevent all the lights in the picture from over exposing.

Nice scene Don,with lightning being such a hard subject to shoot, like how there is other lights to compliment it.Regards Vince.
