About This Image

our moon, around 1 AM today. Realize it's not a great shot as moon shots go, but without an added telephoto lens, that's all I can achieve at this point. It was so beautiful that I had to make an attempt, despite missing full moon the previous night. And am so happy about the plum blossoms too, - they were a
lovely surprise : ) In the dark, didn't realize which tree branches were being captured.

This is such a beautiful picture. I just love it!! The Moon so nicely centered between the branches which seem to be reaching out their arms to it. A beautiful picture.

thanks, Orchiedea_blue. Am hoping to improve on many of these. Felt the same way when I noticed where you are. There aren't many of "us" onlist, far as I know.

Alandra this shot is amaising. Very mystical with the blossom and the moon

Alandra - thought it fitting I should take a look at your photos...I love the way the branches kind of "frame" the photo. Beautiful shot, as I am a sucker for those types of blossoms on branches myself!

I loved the way the plum blossoms cradled the Moon. I also love a full Moon. I wished myself standing there and felt the mystery of the moon so far and yet seeming as close.

Nice work Alandra...very beautiful shot..great blossom surprise!

Really nice shot Alandra. The Plum Blossoms and colors added to it giving it an Oriental touch.

Hi Gary, thanks for the kind praise. well, what I meant is that there's no detail on the actual moon, as in some of the great moon shots on LF. But am happy with the way they turned out. And surprised too really, as they were fired off in rapid succession, and I was back indoors in no time flat : )
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 10:14 PM EDT
What do you mean it is not a great shot? Looks great to me - truly. I really like your moon shots a lot.
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 09:56 PM EDT
also meant to say, "thanks, Vicki" : ) for the praise
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 09:55 PM EDT
nope, didn't use a tripod for any of them, nor for any of the photos in the gallery. DH does have a tripod, but have no idea where it is at this moment. Guess I should start using it for certain shots, but am usually in a rush and don't plan these shots.
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 09:08 PM EDT
NO tripod, Alandra? Now that makes it even more impressive. Love the plum blossoms in the foreground
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 08:23 PM EDT
thanks very much for the praise, Alex D and Alex R : ) Smiling also re the "planned" comment, Alex D. Nothing much about my crazy life has been planned : ) so my photos follow along the same way, usually. Just spur of the moment. (wanted to add that the camera was hand held, no tripod used).
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 07:48 PM EDT
very nice, I like the effect with the plum blossoms.
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 07:40 PM EDT
The composition of these shots are wonderful. The plum blossoms came out well, and the moon is not bad. I would assume this was planned if you didn't say otherwise.
