About This Image

In the Sunlight Basin area, just outside the N entrance of YSP, is this beautiful outcropping.

It's a breathsucker!

This is as outstanding as any landscape I've ever seen, gorgeous.

This is Nez-Perce country. It was the setting for an interesting "battle" in American history, in which the Nez Perce escaped the army because they knew the country so well. White-eyes thought he had them. Hah! There is a turnout point where it is described. I love it.

This is a big scene with the 5 levels or places to sit and watch where the Baffalo roamed and the Indians in Tee-Pees with their peace pipes honed their skills.

This looks beautiful. If this is the same area that I think it is, then rocks from this area were used to make peace pipes for American Indians.
