About This Image

This old barn is typical of those found in Pennsylvania. Whenever we pass it we wonder if it isn't a bit close to the road itself as it leads to the upper campground. Two RVs passing each other here would definitely be a bit leery. There's not much room to pass at this twisty spot.

Mary, I've wondered the same thing. I'm thinking the barn was here first with perhaps a dirt lane added to access it that eventually became Timothy Lake Road. The stone corner of the structure has obviously been clipped more than once, but the terrain is so rocky and hilly that it may not have been possible to move the road over a bit or make it wider. This resort has two campgrounds - Timothy Lake North and South. Most RV's stay at South, about 3/4 mile south of this barn. The North section is just around the corner from here. Even walking up the hill I have to be careful at this point as the corners are rather blind. Vicki

A lovely capture of this old weathered barn Vicki. Beautiful scenery. Do you think the barn was there long before the road?
