Thanks, Gary. know what you mean, - as can't stand the couple weeks of what we call "really hot" temps here each summer. There's nothing that "gets me going" faster than the heat, can't take it. My disposition changes totally : )- am not the same person.

Looks great to me. We have palms also, but not mild temps. We are oven toasted here in the summer. We are so glad that season has passed now.

it's very mild here, usually. we are in the most south-western part of British Columbia, 5 mins from the Cdn/US border. Some winters there are no hard frosts here. If we get snow, it only lasts a few days (that's why we're here : ) don't like extremes of temp either way. Our municipality has planted many palms in the "dividers" in centre of roadway leading into our small town. They put those pale blue LED lites on them at Christmastime,looks neat.

How do they stay alive during the winters? We have had freezes in south Texas that killed all the tropical plants.
